Ducks
Ducks are one set of birds I’ve come to appreciate in my times on the wildlife refuge. We are all likely familiar with the common urban duck, the Mallard, but there are a wide variety of related species, and all of them are entertainining and have a fun personality to them when you watch, whether it’s the fancy Northern Pintail or the big-beaked Northern Shoveler.
